This book is about the anti-war resistance of the Greek soldiers, which was often implicit and indirect, sometimes overt, during the war called the National Struggle or the War of Independence in Turkey, and the Asia Minor Campaign or the Asia Minor Disaster in Greece. In the study, the “soldier strike” and the “discharge mutiny” triggered by the strike are discussed as the factors that determined the end of the war between 1919-1922. Behind these two headings, there is a question that forms the axis of this study: How effective was the anti-war propaganda and activity carried out by communist soldiers at the front in making the strike and revolt of the soldiers at the front possible? In other words, what role did the anti-war actions of Greek communist soldiers play in determining the outcome of the Greco-Turkish war?
